Gladys Seguss(Maria3, Evalina2, Abraham1) was born October 5, 1905 at ?????, Ontario. Gladys married ????1st husband Alva R. Thompson. Alva was born in Goderich, September 30, 1899 (family lore says 1902). Alva was a block salt worker in the old saltworks in Goderich. Alva and Gladys lived in a small house in northeast Goderich, near the saltworks, and raised their small family. One family story says that during the depression, Alva had to sell the family car in order to buy much- needed false teeth. At one point, the family moved to another small house on Brittania Street, in Goderich, overlooking the harbour. Alva and Gladys maintained a well-stocked garden at their home. When company would stay for Sunday dinner, Alva would take pride in running across the street to the local store with one of Gladys' bowls to purchase the treasured ice cream dessert. Alva died March 15, 1954 and is buried in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.
Gladys eventually met and married 2nd husband Bill Gilbert in the late 1950's. Stanley Snell and Gladys' cousin, Hazel (Keating) Snell "stood up" with them at their wedding at Grace United Church, in London. The wedding was conducted by the Rev. Moote. Gladys and Hazel had always been great friends growing up. For some time during the late1950's and perhaps into 1960/ 1961, Bill and Gladys lived on a large lake freighter, rusting away in Goderich harbour. As Bill was a retired mariner and captain, he was an able watchman for the ship. As grain was also stored in the ship, Bill was required to check its storage daily. Access to their living quarters was by means of a tall wooden extension ladder up to the railing. Quite a harrowing and somewhat bizarre experience when family was visiting, wearing their finery, on a Sunday afternoon. Gladys and Bill had no children. Bill died during the 1960's and is buried in his hometown of Midland, Ontario. Gladys died November 22, 1991, and is buried with Alva in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.

Although not much is known about Lionel, he did apparently marry a women named Frances ???, and adopted her son from a previous marriage. It is assumed that they lived out their lives in Nova Scotia and probably were buried there.

Sylvia Seguss(Maria3, Evalina2, Abraham1) was born July 22, 1908 in either Dungannon or the Nile, Ontario. Sylvia attended high school in Goderich. Sylvia married Gordon Archibald Pearson, born May 15, 1901 in Nile, Ontario. Sylvia and Gordon were neighbours while growing up in Nile, Ontario. After getting married (against the wishes of Sylvia's mother, Maria), Sylvia and Gordon moved to Dashwood, Ontario, where Gordon was a poultry buyer for Canada Packers. At some point, they decided to also raise poultry themselves, so they eventually bought a farm near Dashwood. Sylvia had a talent for handwork- knitting, crocheting, embroidering, sewing and tatting. Like many farm women of her day, she was also a great cook, a good gardener and a fair musician, through the piano, and by singing. Sylvia loved to write letters, as she had many scattered penpals. A busy farmer, Gordon had few hobbies although he read, played cards, and loved to watch wrestling on television. Sylvia died in February of 1954, while Gordon continued to run the farm. He died in November of 1963, the day before John F. Kennedy died. They are buried in Grand Bend Cemetery, Ontario. Gordon's parents: Nels Pearson and Hannah Bone (of Goderich) .
