Information discovered in London & confirmed upon reciept of marriage certificate.
Church, Christ Church Camberwell, 4th April 1896. Register entry No 107,
Alfred Seguss, 27, batchelor, 15 Arthur St, father Richard,Gas stoker,
Magdalene Jarvis, 24, spinster, 15 Arthur St, father, William, Contractor.
Alfred signed the register, Magdalene made her mark. Married after Banns.
Witnesses James and Alice Crisp, both signed their names.
Death Notice of:-
MRS. MAGDALENE SEGUSS.
There was laid to rest on Thursday, August 3rd, at Plumstead Cemetery, Mrs. Magdalene Seguss of 93, Reidhaven Road, Plumstead, who passed away on July 29th, aged 66 years.

Family folklore suggests that Mary may have 'had something wrong with her' at birth also in 1938 no reference made to her (Everyone else gets a mention ) in Alfred Seguss's death notice.

N.B. Birth Certificate listed Marys' mother as Emma May Seguss nee Fothergill ? was this a mistake by the registrar who simply became confused by the Grandmother , who must have been upset at the time.
