Writing and research

I am now 10,000 words into my dragon story and waiting for my brain to seize up! So far it's all going smoothly but then it has been three or four years in the planning! It is such escapism but at times I almost lose touch with reality!
This morning I decided to ‘goggle’ herbal medicine and ended up looking at patterns for Magick Robes! Apparently according to the website the herbal remedies listed there didn’t work unless one was wearing ones Magick robe whilst mixing them! I have also discovered where the Yorkshire Dragons may live! Bagshawe Cavern looks the perfect place for a family of Faerie Dragons. The cavern was discovered by lead miners in 1806, when it was known as the Mulespinner Mine. The entrance is covered by a small stone building which is used as a changing room. Must send out a search party!
Ahhhh well; off now to do a ‘bit’ of housework then its back to the keyboard.

NaNoWriMo first day!
Well so far the NaNoWriMo writing challenge is going really well. 2,395 words done, only another 47,605 to go! I stayed up until after midnight last night and managed 390ish before my head hit the keyboard and my brain went to mush! I am also in the process of trying to get to grips with Google plus. That is mind boggling! You sign up and create circles and all of a sudden WHOOSH - you have hundreds of contacts! Plus I have just got a new keyboard – A cherry keyboard, its very retro but nice to type on as it has ‘proper’ clicky keys. My only problem now is the other half can tell whether I am sat typing or idling away my time playing Farmville on Facebook! That reminds me my horses must need ‘mucking out’ by now!..........

NaNoWrMo

I have been spending the last few days cogitating on the plot for my NaNoWriMo challenge. See here for details of the challenge:- I've almost completed the storyline in my head! I had three possible stories to choose from but I decided to play safe and write about my Faerie Dragons!!! I have also downloaded a useful looking book to my kindle So I am going to do my homework this afternoon!!

Travels 2011
I have decided to stop ‘faffing’ about and get on with my Blog.
A little often is better than nothing at all so my Other Half tells me! :-oo We have had a brilliant summer (Well NOT weather wise) travelling in our Minniebago. We set off in April with a visit to Mendip Height Caravan and camping club site – Brilliant cider and home baked Croissants are offered here. Plus I get to mooch around the town of Glastonbury which I love for its very interesting shops and characters!
:yui:

After Glastonbury it was onto Bryn Gloch in Wales to meet up with other Bongonauts (Mazda bongo owners like ourselves) The weather for Wales was amazing – and the location of the campsite was good. Yes it was out in the sticks but scenery was lovely! We hoped the weather was a sign of things to come!;)
Now all I need to do is to work out how to get sensible sized pics on here!

Off on our Travels for 2010
Sunday the 11th of April dawned reasonably well and our Bongo had been fettled and packed the previous two days so we were off! We enjoyed a really quiet drive to Hinton Ampner where we stopped for coffee then onwards to Mendips Camping and Caravan Site just outside the lovely little village of Priddy. We claimed a pitch and enjoyed a cup of tea and a sandwich before heading off for an afternoon drive through Castle Cary and Wincanton. Afternoon tea was taken at our favourite view point of Deer Leap.

It has a panoramic view of Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels
